“We have forgotten how to be good guests, how to walk lightly on the earth as its other creatures do.”

How To Create This In Your Space

  • Bring in your favorite indoor plants! It’s okay if you feel you don’t have a Green Thumb— there are a few plants that are particularly forgiving such as Pothos, Snake Plants, Aloe plants, and ZZ plants. Or grab dried branches and flowers from Trader Joe’s or your local florist & display them in a vessel or mason jar.

  • This is a real Earthy vibe so texture is everything. You can bring in some terracotta vases or earthenware decor. Also, an ethnically sourced reclaimed wood bench or stool could be a nice touch.

  • If you are a tea lover, carve out a space where you can commune with your tea and with your spirit. Or if you feel called to have an altar, add items that represent the natural elements. A moment of quiet and gratitude in your home is optimal for our overall well-being. Of course, get some time outside to do the same when the weather permits.
